Atlanta Hawks guard Jeremy Lin is finalizing a contract buyout, clearing the best way for him to signal with the Toronto Raptors, his brokers informed ESPN.

Brokers Jim Tanner and Roger Montgomery have been anticipated to finish the buyout with the Hawks as quickly as Monday, they mentioned, and Lin may signal with the Raptors as quickly as midweek.

Lin’s wage — $13.eight million for the 2018-19 season — makes it unimaginable for a group to assert him off waivers.

Lin, 30, has averaged 10.7 factors, three.5 assists and a pair of.three rebounds for the Hawks this season. He has had stops with the Warriors, Knicks, Rockets, Lakers, Hornets and Nets in his eight-plus seasons within the league.

Lin is predicted to play a major position for the Raptors as they replenish their bench after a blockbuster take care of the Grizzlies for Marc Gasol. Lin will play minutes in a formidable position behind Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet.
